Okay Ben, i will share with you and our fellow TBhon,
aw, TBsters diay akong experience in real business.
I will share here a very inspiring one also from a friend.

I am currently a franchisee of Madelicious Bakeshop.
My franchise area is part of Bukidnon. I have 5 branches.
Almost ten years na ako sa Madelicious Bakeshop.

Madelicious Bakeshop is a subsidiary of Madelicious Foods Corp.
Madelicious Foods Corp. is purely owned by Bol-anons.
Dodong Alemania of Loon and Madel Penaso of
Tagbilaran City. Both were graduates of DWCT in 1983.
Dodong worked with Sunpride baligyag Holiday
corned beef intawon. But later, he passed the board
exam and became a CPA. But still he worked as a salesman.

Later on pa jud, he realized getting out of the daily rat race
was to get out of the daily run, so he decided to become
an entrepreneur. He became a businessman in early 1990s.

Short cut na pod, sobra o kulang ten years,
Madelicious Bakeshop has now over 60 branches nationwide
company-owned or franchised. The couple Dodong & Madel
has added new businesses and now has hotels & restaurants,
Inns & Apartelles, ug uban pa.

Now, let me go back to the bakeshop business, cuz
it is there where i want to sell the idea for you folks.

Madelicious Bakeshop is now actively looking for
additional franchisees. Areas for market grab or
to be developed are vast, kaya join na kayo.

Thanks, Gwargz. Timely baya kaayo ning imong post kay nag-research lagi ko bahin sa foodcart business kay si misis anad man gud naa'y kabisihan. Na-bore na kuno siya sa pagka-driver sa mga bata sa school. Naglingaw-lingaw intawon ron ug pag-design ug gama ug accessories nga iya ra pud ipabaligya sa mga stall diha sa malls. Makatabang baya sa ilang pang-adlaw-adlaw.

Next year, muuli na man pud ko for good, naghunahuna lagi other sources of income aside from my salary. Maayo ng naa'y fallback position. Gamay ra man gud ang capital requirements sa franchisee o distributor sa foodcart business busa mao ni akong unang nahunahunaan.

Nainterasodohan ko aning imong bakery franchise kay naa pud koy plano ug kaistorya bahin sa development sa akong lote sa Tagbilaran nga naa sa Bool junction atbang sa paradahan o gamay nga terminal. Daghan interesado ani nga yuta kay corner lot man gud ug pang-commercial, mga 400 sqm.-plus ang area. Anyway, ang plano nako magtukod ug commercial building unya ang 1st floor for lease o ako mismo mag-put up ug franchise, sigun sa availability sa puhunan. Kanang lain-lain na ba nga kinahanglanon sa tawo--bakery, pharmacy, lotto outlet, sari-sari, resto ug souvenir (kay along tourist route man pud), etc.. Ug ginagmay lang tingali ang unit sigo man.

Bisag imo ang building, in-ani na gyud diay kamahal ang franchise sa bakery? Wala bay special rate ang paisano? Unsay detailed coverage sa franchise fee? Asa ang main office ug venue of staff training nila? Ug naa pud figures on ROI ug average period of return of capital, at least base sa imong kaugalingong franchise, bisag i-PM na lang nimo kay classified info man tingali ni.

I'd appreciate your advice Bay. Nagdugay baya mi sa business before. We had our good times and bad, as with all things in life. For now, I am just trying to concentrate on the job I know best--translation--kay capital-free ug risk-free. Pero next year pohon, when I can have a hands-on management of the business with my wife, I would like to do business again. Hopefully, we will benefit from our past experiences, including our failures, and take advantage of the technical and management knowhow package of franchise business.

Anyone who is presently engaged in food franchise business as franchisee or distributor? Share pud sa experience.

daghn na man kaajo ning franchising sa ato, adto lng ka sa malls naay mga foodcarts...fruit juices/shakes, mani, siomai/siopao, burgers....ang latest nako nakita this week sa TV ang franchise sa Lugaw...watttt? bisag lugaw e-franchise pa hehehe.

nindot btaw ni sa mga naay time mag bantay, gamay pud kapital pwde nah, from 50k-500k depende sa franchise.
ako brod, Mister Donut iyang franchise...3 mos lng 5 branches nah  ;D...gamay lng man pwesto ang required, unya naa sya isa nga dakong pwesto, butangan nyag billiards, og mag dugang pud dw syag i-cafe.

thanks for the additional info. maayo nang naa ta'y feedback sa mga tawo nga presently engaged in the business. pangutana lang, with one franchise, you can open up any number of branches? tan-aw nimo, jamz, mas ok ang dagan sa dunkin franchise sa imong bro kaysa imong inet cafe? it simply seems that these days there is no field of business that is not crowded already.

kanang links ako gi butang, daghn jud diha feedbacks, ang gi reklamo kasagaran ang MLM (but that's another loonggg story).

wa man mo share ako brod sa ijang kita so i cannot really compare, pero the advantage about this donut is that a small investment can give some business and work for some people. im not sure if there's an additional fee for opening up more branches.

internet cafe used to be a franchise too and until now some are still operating as a franchise in Manila. i planned to open up i-cafe in Davao but there's so much competition already particularly in the city proper and nearby schools. i was late to join in this business since i started a small taxi operation with my partner, aunt in Davao, needless to say, cge ka daut ang taxi, na lugi sab  :'(

i started icafe in gensan with 10 units, up to 20 units now...it's close to STI school and other public skols...isa lng competensya within 30 blocks area. it averages 50-55k gross per month, less expenses and BIR/taxes, mga 20-25k ang net income, pwede na  ;D
within 1 yr operation, na duplicate namo so 2 icafes nah....but lately, there are more icafes growing up like mushrooms and few are closing bcuz they compete to lower the rental (like 7/hr), so lugi na sab. mahal ra ba ang electric bill kay aircon man.

so far this is the only bisnis i can manage remotely, all workers need to email me everyday their income/expenses after their shift. also the user's time is recorded in the timer database so i can check the total hours used per day. i can also access remotely the server so i can monitor the usage, para dili makupitan  ;D

i think the most impt thing to consider is the Location...and competition...  8)

Wa na gani hisgot unsa nay dagan sa negosyo ug bisan usa ka dako wa koy nadawat income. Ingtagam na ko di na jud ko mang capital ug mga kabanay kay di man gani maghisgot unsa nay lakaw sa negosyo. Bitaw.....uso naba sa ato o duna bay "CREMATION" sa ato?  Mora maajo ni kay ahong nadunggan nga perting mahala na ang lunggon sa ato.
