Toyota Home, an affiliate of leading Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corp. <7203>, on Friday started to sell "smart" houses that use information technologies to save electricity as well as solar energy.
A total of 67 such houses will be built in the city of Toyota, Aichi Prefecture, central Japan, the company said. Prices will start from 41.9 million yen, and buyers can live in the houses from September. - Jiji Press
