The Navotas government has cited and lauded 10 companies for being the city’s top taxpayers during the 2008 fiscal year.
Praised for remitting their substantial tax contributions on time were Linton Incorporated, Philippine Beverage Partners Inc., Vifel Ice Plant and Cold Storage, Columbia International Food Products, Western Garments Inc., Frabelle Fishing Corporation, Purechem Corporation, D.M. Consunji, Inc., Ravago Equipment Rentals, Inc., and Via Marine Corporation.
The awards, honoring the city’s top 10 tax paying companies were presented to representatives last Jan. 15 or a day before the city’s 103rd founding anniversary.
Navotas mayor Tobias “Toby†Tiangco commended those firms for their continuing support for the city’s economic development.
“We truly appreciate not just the awardees but all the companies that are actively supporting the city because more than financial investment, they are the bloodline for massive employment of our residents on top of being part of nation building,†Tiangco added.
He also promised all the Navotenos and establishments investing in the city that he will continue instituting changes that would further improve the business climate in Navotas. - source: PNA
