Tokyo stocks opened slightly higher

Tokyo stocks opened slightly higher Wednesday with the key Nikkei index up 0.63 percent.

At 9:15 a.m., the benchmark Nikkei 225 Average gained 59.34 points from Tuesday to 9,447.98.

The broader Topix index advanced 2.81 points, or 0.34 percent, to 827.41. (PNA/Xinhua)
