The First Consolidated Bank installed this week Electronic Fund Transfer/Point-of-Sale (EFT/POS) terminals at Shoppers Mart, allowing FCB depositors to pay for their purchases at Shoppers using their PITAKArd.
FCB Vice president Joseph Lacea said the installation of EFT/POS terminals at Shoppers is the start of the bank's plan to install EFT/POS terminals in various merchants and companies in Bohol.
After Shoppers, FCB will install EFT/POS terminals in Island City Mall, Marcela Plaza, Alturas Supermarkets in Tagbilaran, Alturas Supermarket in Talibon, and other merchants and companies in Bohol, Lacea said.
For the more than 10,000 FCB PITAKArd holders in Bohol, this means safety and convenience in withdrawing cash at FCB ATM, purchasing goods and services, and paying bills at utility companies.
The FCB PITAKArd is a debit card issued to an FCB depositor. The depositor can use this card to access funds at the FCB ATMs and pay for purchases of goods and services at EFT/POS terminals in FCB accredited merchants and companies.
FCB has ATMs in 22 location in Bohol and aims to install about 400 EFT/POS terminals in various parts of the province.
Those who are interested to acquire an FCB PITAKArd may open an account at any FCB branches in Bohol. - the Bohol Chronicle
