Kraft Foods (Philippines), Inc. (KFPI), a fully owned subsidiary of Kraft Foods Inc. (Kraft), one of the largest U.S.-based food business in the world, implements full EDI (electronic data interchange) with 2GO, its national distribution center 3PL provider in the Philippines.
The project successfully went live last August 16, and coincided with KFPI’s SAP rollout in the Philippines.
The project involves creation of system interfaces between 2GO and KFPI’s SAP system, following UN/EDIFACT standards. It aims to automate and improve synchronization of master data, order processing and inventory movements within the two systems, thereby ensuring inventory accuracy and facilitating order fulfillment.
Kraft Foods Philippines handles the manufacturing and/or distribution of various food products currently available in the market. These products include processed cheese more popularly known as Cheez Whiz, Kraft Cheddar and Eden; spoonable products known to many of us as Miracle Whip and Kraft Mayonnaise; powdered beverages Tang and Kool Aid; baking powder known to us as Calumet; confectionery such as Toblerone and Cadbury; and snacks/biscuits popular all over the world such as Oreo, Chips Ahoy!, Tiger, and Planters. These are products found in every home, in every country, worldwide.
2GO, as KFPI’s 3PL partner, manages its National Distribution Center (NDC) warehouse, and is responsible for delivering their products nationwide.
