The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) here is urging budding entrepreneurs to seek business counseling before deciding on starting an enterprise.
DTI information officer Ruby Milleza said that the department is offering free business counseling so as to help entrepreneurs, cooperatives and local investors to decide on where to put their hard-earned capital.
Milleza said that among the services they offer include looking for potential investors and buyers, improved packaging of products, starter kits for individuals and groups, as well as assessing the profitability and marketability of the services or product.
She stressed that the counseling will help the entrepreneurs assess if they have the grit and tools to sustain their business despite economic challenges.
She said that DTI is also helping Ilonggo producers on how to promote their products in the national and international market.
Likewise, DTI also offers free business counseling every second Tuesday and Thursday of the month at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol Building. They also urge business enthusiasts in the LGUs to avail of the free service anytime. DTI is currently encouraging budding entrepreneurs to start business in the countryside. (PNA)
