India BPO Expanding in the Philippines
« on: April 13, 2009, 06:01:14 PM »
The global economic slowdown won’t stop Indian business process outsourcing (BPO) companies from expanding here, Indian Ambassador to the Philippines Rajeet Mitter said recently.

“The BPO sector is booming. Despite the crisis, we are still expanding,” the Indian diplomat said in an interview during the visit of Indian Navy’s largest ship, the INS Jyoti, which left the country over the weekend.

The ambassador echoed various financial analysts and said with its healthy finances, the Philippines remains a good investment site for Indian companies.

“The Philippine economy is doing well. A lot of economies are having negative growth, the Philippines is having a positive growth even with this recession,” Mitter said.

“This is the perfect time for us to get together more closely and explore more the opportunities,” he said.

Mitter said 20 Indian BPO companies continue to operate in the country even with the crisis, among them Infosys, Wipro Technologies (Western India Products Limited), and the Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS).

“They are all doing well. I don’t expect any downturn (in their investments),” he said. - PDI

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

Ug mabayran ko next year mag suroy suroy na ko sa bohol ug sa US.  :)  Most of my colleagues (16 of them) are now (paid) millionaires,  outsourced and now with giant IT company IB*   .   8)

Mao bitaw. The Philippine economy is rising even in this economic slump we are having.

The Indians are right. The Philippines is on a rise.

Ampo lang ko, it proceeds unimpeded.

I like the Indians. They are mostly ethical in doing business.

The Indians realize the potential of the Philippines.

We are their greatest competitor in the IT industry.

The Filipino's mastery of English is precise, same as the Indian's.

As compared to other asian nationals that have sub par abilities in English.
