If you are a
U.S. citizen or resident alien (a green-card holder) living overseas, you are subject to U.S. tax on your worldwide income regardless of where such income is earned, paid, or received. However, you can elect to exclude up to $74,000 of your foreign earned income and certain foreign housing costs, and you may also claim a credit against U.S. tax for foreign income taxes you paid.
