(Jiji Press)--Honda Motor Co. <7267> said it hopes to increase output of the 2012 Civic subcompact in the United States by the end of the year.
To this end, the Japanese automaker plans to have its Civic assembly plant in Greenburg, Indiana, which currently operates only during daylight, switch to double-shift production, a Honda spokesperson said.
