Discussions on three landmark laws on protection of women and children from violence and other abuses highlighted the two-day orientation on gender and reproductive health last week at the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) session hall where a Cebu-based Boholano prosecutor was the main speaker.
Asstistant Cebu Provincial Prosecutor Lolita Lomanta, whose father hails from barangay Tinangnan, Municipality of Tubigon, thoroughly discussed the rights and protection of women and children before 30 town and barangay officials here.
Lomanta was the main speaker in the orientation sponsored by Process-Bohol Foundation, in coordination with the municipal government.
All the SB members and 22 barangay captains of this coastal municipality attended the orientation.
