Police arrest robbery suspect in Bohol
A man wanted for robbery was arrested by police in Mabini, Bohol on Friday morning.
According to Mabini Police Station³, Arturo Balbadores Yares, alias "Turo", 39, was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by a Muntinlupa court for the crime of robbery (hold-up).
Yares is a laborer and a resident of Barangay Minol, Mabini.
The arrest was part of Oplan Tracker, a police operation that aims to capture fugitives and most wanted persons.
Meanwhile, police are also investigating a burglary incident that occurred at a house rented by two American citizens in Tagbilaran City on Thursday night.
The victims, identified as Jeoffrey Dango and Dale Reimer, both single and 52 and 63 years old respectively, reported that some valuable items were missing from their house located at Capitol Site, Cogon District.
They said they left their house at around 11:00 AM on Thursday and when they returned at around 10:15 PM of the same date, they noticed that their things were scrambled and disorderly placed.
Police said the suspects gained entrance on the back portion of the fence and destroyed the ceiling to get inside the house.
A team from PNP Crime Laboratory (SOCO Team) led by PSINP Abregana processed the crime scene to gather evidence.
Police are still conducting follow-up operations to identify and arrest the suspects.
