As banner event to commemorate this year’s Independence Day, the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) of Mabini town, headed by Vice Mayor Tabigue, recently launched another phase of civic work for the indigent residents of sitio Pasto, barangay San Isidro.
For free, MPOC’s medical and dental clinic fed the undernourished children, offered vaccination of all domesticated animals- -including anti-rabies vaccines for dogs, and distributed relief goods to the townfolk during the whole-day activity swarmed by locals, especially the children.
“We emphasize through this activity that the real battle to fight today is on how to free our people from the bondage of poverty. And the best service that we can offer to our people is to stand by them in times of need,†according to Tabigue.
He also said it was just a way of sustaining the effort of the Rances administration to bring the government closer to the people.
The activity was participated in by the Municipal Health Office headed by Dr. Rhoda Bautista; Municipal Agriculturist’s Office headed by Roman Miano; Philippine National Police-Mabini led by Police Assistant chief, SP04 Eugenio Tutor; the Liga ng mga Barangay led its president Crispy Vergara; and the barangay council of San Isidro headed by Barangay Captain Rodrigo Vallespin with all the barangay tanods, BNCs and BHWs.
