How about you, Ms Glen? Where did you meet your significant other?
Wow! It is a long story but to make it short, i meet my significant other in Tagbilaran City while i was studying in college.
My Uncle (My Dad's brother) is a tourist guide and owns a rent a car. One afternoon my Uncle asked me if i have time to picked up his 3 daughters at Wisdom School because he was busy touring some one but really he was just playing a trick on me so i could meet the foreigner that he was touring but i didn't know this at the time until he introduced us. I was shocked!!!! I was surprised to meet an American but he was such a nice guy. I was speechless because i was so shy so my Uncles daughter helped me communicate because she was good at English.
Short cut kay taas kaayo.
So for 2 years we wrote letters back and forth and visited me 3 times before i graduated in college.
At that time there were no phones or cellphones in my boarding house. He kept on sending me love letters, cards and chocolates. One day my Mom told me that i had a package so i went home and when i opened the package it was a beautiful diamond ring but i didn't know that it was an engagement ring. The ring didn't fit me so i gave it to my Mom.
Then shortly after that i received a letter and i was shocked Joe said I will be there in 2 months to marry you!!!!!!!
My parents and grandparents were shocked. I got sick for almost 1 month because i was scared an unsure.
Hoy kataas na ani, and the rest is history. 15 years later still going strong and happily ever after.
