There’s harmless gossip and then there’s the relentless, mean-spirited stream of misinformation that comes from this acquaintance’s lips. It’s better to avoid this person or risk being associated with her—especially in work situations. “You could say, ‘I don’t think it’s fair to talk about Missy without her here to give us her side of the story. Shall we call her?’” Gottsman says. “Most people don’t gossip to be mean but to make conversation,” Whitmore notes. “Why not politely help that person understand that her words could be hurtful or destructive in the current setting? You could always turn the tables and ask how she’d feel if someone was saying that about her.”

Kining klasiha sa tawo mahug wala nay makig amigo. Naa ko silingan ingon ani diri Pinay from Siquijor. Nagkaila mi kay nakabasa siya sa newspaper sa birth announcement sa akong anak mao iya ko gipangita sa phonebook. Abi nako friendly kaayo pero sa nagkadugay na kay kara amiga niya nga kaila iyang libakon. Ug naa ko sa iya atubangan manglibak sa mga amiga niya unya iyang mga amiga ing ingon nga ug sila ra kono segi pud panglibak nako. Nahulog karon nag inosara nalang siya kay molikay naman mi mga kaila niya.Di lang kay libakon mi niya mag gama gama pa siya storya aron iya mi awayon, perti ka marama. Last thing I heard niya nga unta duol raman unta mi 3 years ago pa pero nakabalita ko nga kapila ba to siya nabugnuan ug ubang kaila niya unya gisulong ba to sa balay kay habit jud niya mag gossip.

anyway naa pa diay na Kel? pastilan old school naman na! aw dili man tingali na old school kay naay taga amoa naa sa FB nga naa sa Chicago, nga ulaw kaajo nag libakanay unya naabot na sa mga fake marriages ug deportation! ulaw! im just so glad i never associated my own people!

kaning mga hinahgal diri sa TB mild ra ni compared sa akong mga kasagupa! mga DEADLY kaajo akong mga kababayan! and i hated it to death. I am just so glad i have you peeps!

Di jud ko mo angay nga mga taw mo yawyaw ug gossips for their own benefit and at the cost of an innocent individual.
Then again, as the saying goes, truth is countered by the lie.

It is best to burn bridges with individuals that are this negative.
In order to live a good life, dispense your faculties.
And eradicate negative vibes.
