Title: INFINITE DISTANCE
Post by: hazel on September 05, 2007, 03:57:58 AM

Once the realization is accepted that even between the closest people infinite distances exist. A marvelous living side by side can grow up for them if they succeed in loving the expanse between them, which gives them the possibility of seeing each other as a whole and before immense sky.

For the more we are, the richer everything we experience is. And those who want a deep love in their lives must collect and save for it and gather honey.

The above phrases were written beside a sketch painting of a couple. As I read the words, I realized its meaning where deep and somewhat confusing. I may or may not understand what it really means.

  Any views/opinions?

Deep bitaw kaayo Miss Ginger noh?

Akong interpretation ani kay:

You may sit with a person who is so emotionally close to you, but still, essentially you are alone. Although we are social creatures, more so now than ever before, we are also solitary souls.

Ako bitaw, I'm married, I have my family, my friends...but I still get extremely lonely sometimes. And I have accepted it as natural, part of being me. I believe it stems from our being separated from God. As long as we're on earth, there will always be that loneliness, that longing in our souls. The only way to appease this, is when we are reunited with God in heaven. In heaven, we will be complete, whole and completely happy.

 :)

does anyone know who "tagik" these phrases? it's beautiful. for me, all i can say is that every relationship blooms when there's mutual respect and admiration of the mysterious infinite uniqueness of the "other", the "you."

this is the sacred space of my individuality, my Being...that makes "I" who I am.

that makes "WE", our being-with-the-other, such a wonderful experience of union because I share with her/him my "I-ness" and vice versa. now i know why they say: it's because "WE" are so different that "WE" have so much to share...

For me the phrases are similar to Buddha´s teachings.  We are diverse yet we travel along on the same path towards oneness. The diversity preserves our entity but together as one brings nuance to our existence.

hi glacier,

I tried to do a bit of research about the quotes. And I am referred to Rainer Maria Rilke's "Letter's to a Young Poet".
