During a recent medical trip, my love and I were partners in taking patients' vitals etc.
After 10 hours on the floor taking patients etc, I decided to take a break.
I stood on the corner, with my cup of ginger honey tea. My eyes affixed to my woman. Observing her caring for patients and giving orders to the nursing staff/ nursing students.
I have not seen such beautiful balance of knowledge and strictness yet with a kindness in her zeal for treating the patient and addressing the nursing students who worked alongside us medical students.
Her long black hair, her sharp features, and her beautiful face captured my total and absolute attention.
She walks with such grace enrobed in her medical white coat, and her green scrubs underneath. How galant she walked and addressed the nursing staff, who bowed and accepted her orders justified in her confidence and her knowledge on the disease and on said material.
I could not help but break a smile on my tired and stressed body. My lips gave away a smile. And a chuckle.
Her sense being keen and observant, turns to my direction. Her eyes meets mine. Gazing.
I was able to break her concentration. She smiles. And what a smile it is...a smile that can light up the entire room. The smile of a beautiful Anesthesiologist-in-training.
As I finished my cup of tea, I threw out my plastic mug, walked to the vitals desk, and approached her. To my warmth and presence she turns her head, her eyes affixed to me. I whisper to her, "I watched you. Beautiful. You are utterly beautiful..."
As I walk to my desk, as I put my white coat on and ready my stethoscope, she gently touches my face with her fingers. And moves her lips "I Love You."
My heart jumps in joy. Back to work!
Next patient!
