Women attracted to men with "a bit of body odor"?
« on: August 05, 2009, 10:35:50 PM »
A British survey suggests women prefer "real men" with beer bellies and hairy chests to "metrosexuals" with tight shorts and manicures.

The survey of 5,192 women, conducted by Lion Bar Ice Cream, found 80 percent of respondents now consider metrosexual traits including hair straightening and frequent sunbathing to be turn-offs, The Sun reported Tuesday.

The poll also found one in 10 women questioned in the survey like the smell of beer on a man while a fifth of those polled said they are attracted to men with "a bit of body odor."

"This is great news for real men this summer," a Lion Bar spokesman said. "They can get their roar back and ditch the moisturizer, manicures and tight shorts this summer -- leave that for the footballers. - UPI

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

Ambot lang kaha kon unsay gusto sa mga baje, but I think for both sexes wa man tingali lami kon nawala ang natural smell. Of course, I mean natural good smell--kay naa may natural foul smell, ha ha ha. Parehas sa choice cuts ba. The best meat cuts don't need garnishings. Rare or medium rare steak ang best for tenderloin. Pero ang rejects--offal, extremities, etc.--have to be smothered in piquant sauces. Ang babayeng properly made up and perfumed nindot tingali tan-awon ug simhot-simhoton ginagmay, but she's no good for more interesting, up close and personal activities.

As for this thing about beer smell, ah, that's been a long time coming... :)

I smell something here, so please allow me to ask your validation of this observation:

Have you ever noticed that when you and your partner are mutually sexually aroused (mind you, I 'm talking of legitimate partnership), the smell of your partner's breath changes into something that enhances that arousal? Just asking a clinical question.

Pheromones are responsible for sexual attraction between men and women. This is the scent produced in fresh male sweat. This scent is rather attractive to women. However, when sweat has been exposed to oxygen, it makes the scent less attractive. Women are highly sensitive to these especially during ovulation.

Akong personal observations: a man's scent is very attractive at certain times of the month... and there are times nga kibir lang.

but i believe this study is true sad..

Bay Ben, maybe it's not the smell of the breath that changes. Maybe sexual arousal changes one's perception of smells. But then again I'm no expert on olfactory functions or sexual arousal.

From my limited experience, however. I can say that the natural smell (again, I would emphasize that we're talking of healthy specimens here) of your partner's breath is aphrodisiacal. But it's difficult for me to say what the variables are, since I have no basis for comparison. My experience about inhaling exhalations has been sadly confined to intimate situations.

i find it difficult to say based on my experience because i can have partner only once in a blue moon.

but i did hear some people say that the scent of a person has been considered by couples as a way to enhance their relationship.

Tito Benne,

Interesting point of reflection. In the relationships that I have had, I must incline to the fact that what riled me was the tantalizing acts prior to sexual intercourse. The act in itself was nice, let it be known that it is human nature to taste, however--the scent of the woman's breath (my partner at the time) elicited paramount sexual urge on my part.  Albeit the fact that the interest was initiated by her body language and sound of voice, there is actually a physiology of women's mating voice--it applies to humans. When a woman's tone of voice deepens and puts greater emphasis on body language.

Men (heterosexual men), can be subconsciously aware of a woman's physiological urges by the hormonoal exchanges. Women emit and produce a large amount of estrogen and progesterone as well as phermonic levels as a result and response to a high level of male testosterone. Its a complementary pathway, you see.

A woman in heat is a response to physiological reaction. That woman's body was enticed by a machisomo male; who produces an untold high amount of testosterone. The same as a man can be elicited to produce high testosterone levels to an ovulating woman which will produce high hormonal signals of pheromones and progestin levels.

All of this is subconscious. We do not know this occurs because it is a pre-programmed intuition within the human anatomophysiology. Its a signatory pathway to entice mating and finding a mate and producing the annual offspring.

The human neurological system is composed of 2 systems: 1) peripheral nervous system and 2) central nervous system.

And within that subset is the a) Sympathetic nervous system and 2) parasympathetic nervous system.

The most crucial pathway in mating rituals is: The parasympathetic nervous system. Otherwise known as "Rest and Digest pathway". It controls Gastrointestinal vasodilation and secretory production of glandular products/byproducts. To which belongs the pyrimidal continuum of sexual hormones, digestive enzymes, etc.

Anatomically and Physiologically speaking,
The man was designed and created to supplement and complement the woman.
The same as how the woman was designed to complement the man.

The depth and size of a woman's cervix, vagina, was designed to elope and complement the male sexual gonads (the penis). Just as how it is pre-programmed within the male to be sexually aroused by a woman's anterior thoracic cutaneous form (her breasts) and the beauty of her posterior sacrosacral eminence (her lubut) ;)
It is pre-programmed. The intuition to mate and procreate.

Its a mammalian instict that humans have retained, despite our rise into the echelon of existentialism and scientific evolution. We nonetheless have retained and will continue to retain our anatomical design.

Hope that helps.
Cheers.
