we can be nice bisag dili ta mo smile. simple things nga we take for granted: example- opening a door, punching the flloor number on the elevator, giving way to elders sa train or bus ug uban pang mga ginagmay.

being nice doesn't always mean having to please everyone.

it is just being simply respectable and honest, not having any intent to please someone. being nice doesn't have to mean i like you. i am just nice to you because we're the same human beings. imo.

Being nice to people is not trying to please them, but yourself. The nicest thing you can do to yourself is being nice to others.

When you smile to others, the smile that goes back to you is more heartwarming than your effort to give it. Goodwill around you is good for your health--you don't get wrinkles, your blood pressure is stable, you don't lose sleep over unnecessary worries...

For centuries and perhaps until the early part of the 20th century, the word "nice" also meant foolish, silly, ignorant, trivial; also, weak, effeminate; even lewd, bawdy, sensual. Now, we should be glad that the only remaining (somewhat) negative denotations of the word are "finicky" and "exacting".

If I may add, we should be nice even to animals.
