Love knows no race or ethnicity, btw. I stand with this.
As a child I grew up in the 'states, and being thrust into an amalgamated society, particularly here in Southern New Jersey where the demographic is predominantly white-caucasian. The numerous amount of Italians, Irish, English, Dutch, German peoples. In my attendance throughout elementary, middle, high school and college were laden with relationships and friendships with peoples of different races. White, Latino, Black etc. Ive dated mostly white women in my early adult life: ranging from 2 really long relationships and numerous short-term dating relationships. I never really thought of Filipina women as much since they were so minimal and few in my area. But in the back of my mind, I always knew that somehow I would have liked to have a relationship with a Filipina. For a dichotomy of reasons:
1) Culturally important: would provide a solid foundation for my children to grow up knowing their identity and their background..that deep down inside..they were Filipino.
2 The other was for the familial and filial similarities that Filipinos share; the universalist traits that we do share despite our regional differences.
In my 2nd year of medicine, I met a very beautiful woman, whose intellect and grace compares to no other. And to my surprise we shared so many (its rather amazing how similar we are) interests, likes, passions, goals in life. Culturally we are both Filipino-Americans, and have been raised in the tongue of our ancestral upbringing yet engrossed in the education and the culture of America. The beauty of the transpiration of culture in that we both know we are Americans, yet are of linear stock to the Philippines. Americans of Filipino ancestry, as the colloquial saying goes, "An egg, but laden with the roots of the hen house."
Personally tho, wala jud maka compare to the Filipina. There is no beauty that compares, no voice as soft as hers, no soft touch as didactic as a Filipina that arouses the virility of her lover. There is no brutal honesty as compared to the Filipina, who comes from good stock. Her religiosity and her faith proceeds her, her ambition in life is perfected in her humble faith in the Lord God. All this sing testament to the unique beauty and incomparability of the Filipina.
