All banks in this city has assured that there will be enough cash in Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) in this city during the four-day Holy Week break Thursday to Sunday.
The Zamboanga City Bankers and Financiers Association (ZCDFA) said that while the banks will be closed these days for over the counter transactions, depositors will still be able to avail of cash through the ATMS
available outside most banks in the city.
ZCDFA President Rosendo N. Castillo III said bank officials have agreed to check on a regular basis their ATMs and to reload these with cash as the case may be.
Castillo said that the association counts on 58-member banks including financing companies.
Aside from servicing bank clients in this city, out of town bank clients can also withdraw money from ATMs in Zamboanga.
Other than ATMs outside banks, there are also ATMs in or near hospital premises and big department stores where clients can withdraw money anytime of the day or night.
