Vice President Jejomar Binay is expected to arrive in this resort island Wednesday at the invitation of the Philwater for its international conference on water resources management.
According to the itinerary of Binay's arrival, he is expected to arrive in the Kalibo International Airport from Metro Manila Wednesday afternoon and will be welcomed by Gov. Carlito Marquez and the League of Mayors (LMP)-Aklan Chapter.
He will then be proceeding to Malay town, but will have a whistle stop in Nabas, Aklan. After the stop, he will then proceed to this resort island to be welcomed by Department of National Defense Undersecretary Ding Domingo and Philwater officials.
The next day, Binay will grace the 18th International Conference on Water Resource Management at the Boracay Regency Resort here.
Binay will conclude his affair in this resort island with a lunch with Malay mayor John Yap together with the town officials and employees. The vice president will then be proceeding back to Manila after the luncheon meeting.
This will be the first time that Binay will visit this province after he won the vice presidency post last May election.(PNA)
