A magnitude 4.0 earthquake jolted parts of Pangasinan on Monday afternoon, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
In its bulletin, Phivolcs said the quake’s epicenter was traced 21 kilometers (km) east of San Manuel in Pangasinan.
The tremor, which was tectonic in origin, was recorded at 4:40 p.m. It has a depth of one kilometer.
The agency said that Intensity 4 felt at San Manuel, Pangasinan while Intensity 3 felt at Baguio City and Intensity 2 at Dalayap, Tarlac; La Trinidad, Benguet; and La Union, Pangasinan.
Phivolcs said there was no report of damage or casualty from this tremor and no aftershocks from the earthquake.
