(PNA) – The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)11 covering Western Visayas launched on Monday its tax campaign caravan to “raise public awareness of their obligation to pay.â€
Atty. Glen Geraldino, officer-in-charge/regional director of the agency, said the deadline for the filing of income tax will be on April 15, but the public was encouraged to file early.
Geraldino said the agency would put up satellite offices by April but the revenue offices would accomodate those who would file early.
“We encourage the early payment of taxes to avoid the queues in banks,†he said.
The tax campaign kicked off with a caravan around the city’s major thoroughfares and a media briefing at the agency’s regional office. (PNA)
