Tarlac’s most wanted person falls
MONCADA, Tarlac, July 30 (PNA) -- One of the most wanted persons in this province finally fell into the hands of the law.
John Paul Madriaga, 20, a resident of this town, was arrested Wednesday in Dolores, Abra after three years of hiding.
Madriaga, who is listed no. 10 in the provincial list of Tarlac and No. 1 priority target list of wanted persons this town, was involved in the robbery and killing of 77-year-old Irineo Grajes on March 5, 2012.
Acting Judge Jose S. Vallo of Regional Trial Court Branch 67 of Paniqui, Tarlac issued a warrant of arrest against Madriaga on July 9, 2012.
Police Chief Inspector Edison Pascasio said they received information on Madriaga’s whereabouts through a concerned citizen.
Pascasio said he immediately formed a tracker team with his deputy, police Senior Inspector Jose Natividad, Jr. as the team leader and immediately proceeded to Abra that resulted in the arrest of Madriaga.
The suspect did not resist arrest but denied involvement in the killing of Grajes.
He is now detained at the Moncada Police Station jail awaiting for the court order of his transfer at the Tarlac Provincial Jail.
Meanwhile, Senior Supt. Alex B. Sintin, provincial director of Tarlac PNP, congratulated the Moncada Police for the arrest of one of the most wanted personalities in the province.
Sintin said this is a result of the full implementation of the Oplan Lambat Sibat and with lateral good coordination with other agencies and police units in other areas of the Philippines. (PNA)
