Surigao has a magnificent natural and ancient wonders people didn't know because there once a continent called Lemuria which now submerged in the Pacific ocean and Surigao is facing Pacific. The continent of Lemuria were once existed together with the Atlantis. As I collected the experiences of my close friends and neighbors who lived in the remotest parts of Surigao islands, their story is much related to Lemuria because 1st, my older friend (bosero) said that he saw thousands of trees under a very deep ocean while they were fishing using a compressor, the fishing technique can dive up to 200-300 feet under water and those trees suspected to be a Magkono tree or iron wood because it is known to be the hardest tree that grows on the hardest rocks called Bantiles, and those trees preserved underwater for thousands of years due to saltwater. 2nd, my close friend in Sohoton told me that there were lots of caves above mountains and they saw unusual length of bones that was longer than the ordinary human bones and they doubted that it was from the giants of Lemuria, the caves may be their refuge as the Lemuria continent submerged. Locals doubted that those caves to be artificially made by the ancients because those mountains were made by the hardest stones called Bantiles in which stones could be difficult to carve. 3rd, my old friend really saw a complete giant's skeleton as they dug for artifacts funded by archaeologists, he accurately measured it with the length of 10 to 12 feet. Artifacts owned by the Rajahnates and Sultanates and some came from different ancient kingdoms. 4th, I myself saw an ancient structure made with the hardest rock or boulder called Bantiles, it was a giant flower or mushroom with sharp thorns above of it and the thorns made so uniformly that I couldn't even count on it and stands to 12-15 feet with a white stone complexion in the middle of the seashore on a white sand beaches. I know that there are lots waiting to be discovered in Surigao and my experiences and collections are only a glimpse of it, but these stories were suppressed and kept hidden.
