Around 1,000 evacuees who were displaced by typhoons and massive flooding in this municipality last year benefited from the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) outreach project that was held in cooperation with municipal health unit and volunteer rescue team from Metro Manila.

The displaced residents are currently residing in tent cities 1 and 2, and E-Cubes 1 and 2, all temporary resettlements in this municipality.

SBMA Administrator Armand Arreza led officials, physicians and medical staff of Subic and Cubi Dispensary, Public Health and Safety Department headed by Dr. Solomon Jacalne, community relations officers of Public Relations Department headed by Armina C. Llamas and volunteers from Board of Investment (BOI) media pool, during the medical mission and gift-giving for affected families of typhoon “Ondoy.”

Most of those treated during the medical mission were children afflicted with “sore eyes,” cough and colds, and for the elders, high blood pressure and rheumatism.

Medicines, vitamins and gift packages were also distributed to beneficiaries.

Municipal Mayor Nerma Yap lauded the efforts of SBMA officers and employees for their initiative to conduct a medical mission for her constituents. - pna
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. - John 3:16-18
