Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) have arrested three persons and seized an estimated P1 million worth of metamphetamine chloride or shabu in this southern port city, a PDEA official disclosed Tuesday.
PDEA Regional Director Adzhar Albani said the suspects were arrested in an entrapment around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Sampaloc Drive, Barangay Baliwasan, west of this city.
Albani identified the arrested suspects as Apong Andal, 61, Amil Andal, 64, both residents of Barangay Baliwasan, and Rene Hassan, 42, of Jolo, Sulu.
Albani said his personnel have seized from the possession of the suspects 50 grams of shabu with an estimated market value of P1 million. - PNA
He said the entrapment was carried out following reports that the Andals are peddling shabu at Sampaloc Drive, Baliwasan.
Appropriate charges are set to be filed in court against the suspects, Albani said. (PNA)
