TAGBILARAN CITY -- All sea vessel trips from this city were cancelled Thursday as Storm Signal No. 1 has been hoisted over the province due to the approaching tropical storm “Vinta”

As of 11 a.m. Thursday, the Philippine Atmospheric,Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration placed Bohol under Signal No. 1 together with other neighboring provinces projected to be within the reach of storm Vinta starting tonight.

The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) has started preparing for the possible impact of the storm to the province.

PDRRMO head Anthony Damalerio said his office has been on alert level since last week when tropical storm Urduja brought torrential rains in Bohol.

Early Thursday afternoon, the Tagbilaran City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office also discussed its own action plan at a local restaurant here, said city administrator Leones Borja. (Dave Albarado/PNA)
