Mati CDRRMO helps in Search and Retrieval Operation in Manay
The Mati City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office helped in the
search and retrieval operation in Municipality of Manay, Davao Oriental on November 9, Monday.
This is after they received a call from the Mati City Philippine Coast Guard requesting for augmentation of dive equipment and dive personnel to assist in the said operation.
Five members of CDRRMO's Emergency Medical and Rescue Services and five members of Mati City PCG went to the Municipality of Manay on the same day, where they were immediately
notified by MDRRMO of Manay of where the victim was last seen.
The team entered the
water at about 11:15AM and one body was retrieved after 15 minutes of Search and Retrieval Operation.
The cadaver was identified as Gilbert U. Gayo, 25 years old.
The retrieved body was handed over to the Manay Philippine National Police (PNP) on scene, MDRRMO personnel and to the family. (CIO MATI)
