Salt Sold in Public Markets Not Safe?
« on: January 29, 2009, 04:09:49 PM »
The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) here has assured the public that salt being sold in public markets are safe and not mixed with alum.

Leonora Dominguez of the DOST said the salt they tested were imported from Australia.

For her part, Nenita Gallardo of the Bureau of Food and Drugs (BFAD) said the salt are in fact high-grade and 99.5 percent pure sodium chloride.

“There is nothing to be scared of,” Gallardo said.

Last month, residents raised the concern that the salt were hard to dissolve in water. They feared that the salt being sold are mixed with alum (tawas).

Gallardo said BFAD conducted a laboratory analysis to determine the components of the salt. - PNA

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

mao laging ni stop nami ug gamit anang vetsin. when i cook, i see to it that the taste is somewhat taste a bit sweet that's why sa una gamit ko ug vetsin and rocksalt. when i read some articles of about monosodium glutamate, i stopped using it and thus i switched iodized salt where i don't have to use MSG again.
