A 26-year-old tricycle driver, wanted for murder last February, was arrested last Sunday for wounding his live-in partner and her two children in a drunken knife attack the previous night in Mabalacat, Pampanga.
Chief Superintendent Arturo G. Cacdac Jr., Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director, assured Monday that suspect Rannie M. Sumalinog, alias “Tisoy,†of 2242 Hadrian St., Barangay Balibago, Angeles City, has been locked up in jail without bail.
Sumalinog was arrested by a team of Angeles City policemen and Criminal Investigation and Detection Team (CIDT) operatives around 3 p.m. in front of an American fastfood outlet in Dau, Mabalacat.
Cacdac said Sumalinog was arrested for allegedly attacking his live-in partner Ruby D. Jordan and her children Ryan James Jordan and Francislyn Jordan with a knife when he got home drunk around 10 p.m. Saturday night.
The three victims, who suffered multiple hack wounds in the body, were first taken to the Ospital ng Angeles na Hospital in Barangay Pampang and then transferred to the Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital.
