GRADE 11 DIES, 6 OTHERS
INJURED IN A VEHICULAR
ACCIDENT IN KABANKALAN
A public utility jeep loaded with passengers reportedly developed engine trouble (brake malfunction) while descending on a curve portion in barangay Camingawan, Kabankalan while on its way to Mabinay on or about 10:00 o'clock yesterda morning.
The passenger jeep turned turtle and fell on its side which resulted to the untimely death of Jingky Benigay, 18 years old and a Grade 11 student.
Six other passengers were injured, namely: Cherry Ann Serona, 17 years old, a Grade 11 student, res of Oringao, Kabankalan, Rosalie Cańete, 38, Victoria Luang, 70, Gelou Sebonga, 10 years, a Grade 5 student, Titing Argote, all residents of Hagtu in Mabinay and the conductor Richard Morales, 41 res of Camingawan Kabankalan.
The driver Joseph Antonio, 35, married, res Tagukon, Kabankalan surrendered to Kabankalan Police Station and picked up by the Mabinay PNP.
