John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

nakatawa ko ug nakuryoso aning imong comment, states.  tinuod, wa gyod hinoon ko makabasa nga gigamit ni nga term to describe vehicular accidents in the u.s.  not that i could read everything, though.

curiosity made me search into the whys of this term, if at all it truly exists and isn't just another 'invention' by philippine english (like our famous 'aggrupation'!)

it turns out that the phrase does exist.  'turn turtle' is an invention of sailors.  thus:

turn turtle means to be utterly helpless or defenseless. when turned on their backs, turtles are completely powerless and without defense. turn turtle also means ‘to overturn, upset, capsize.’
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Vulnerability

turn turtle: turn upside down
sailors originally invented this term when they learnt to overturn the turtle or marine tortoise, which is suitable for food, in order to immobilise it. they applied the expression to the capsizing of ships or boats, but its use has now spread to other things that accidentally overturn.
