Children of captured soldier Corporal Marcial Bawagan of the
Philippine Army have joined the calls for the safe release of their father and his three other companions from captivity by the communist New People's Army (NPA).
In an appeal aired over
Radio Mindanao Network, the six-year-old daughter of Bawagan urged his father's captors to release him as her birthday gift.
She said she will celebrate her
birthday on June 7 and urged the rebels that she wants her father beside her when she celebrates her birthday.
She also told her father that she misses him so much that she wishes her father would reunite with them soon.
The eldest son also appealed to the rebels to heed the call of his younger sister.
He said they all miss their father.
Ironically, the
rebels abducted Bawagan and his companions during the birthday celebration of his youngest son. - PNA
