A 16-year-old girl, believed to have been raped before she was murdered, was found by her parents and village officials at around 5 a.m. Monday in a forested area in the village of San Pacual in Tinambac, Camarines Sur, police said.
The girl, whose identity was withheld, was found bathing in her own blood and her clothes totally tattered, said Senior Police Officer 4 Romy Fabiano, public information officer of the Camarines Sur Provincial Police Office.
Fabiano said the girl, who had been reported missing since Sunday night, died from multiple stab wounds.
