(PNA) – Five police officers and non-uniformed personnel of the Philippine National Police in Negros Oriental received citations during Monday’s local 16th PNP Day celebration at Camp Fernandez in Sibulan town.
The celebration bannered the theme, “Mamayan at Kapulisan: Bayanihang Pangka-ayusan at Pangkapayapaan.â€
The awardees include Sr. Supt. Leopoldo Cabanag, police chief of Dumaguete and Chief Inspector Carlos Lacuesta, Jr. as model senior and junior police commissioned officers, respectively;
SPO2 Allen Germudo as model senior non-commissioned officer and PO3 Edilberto Euraoba III as model junior non-commissioned officer of the year; Geraldine Esparcia as model non- uniformed personnel of the year.
Bayawan City police station was adjudged model urban police station while the Siaton police station was named as the model rural police station.
Some government agencies like the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Commission on Human Rights and civic clubs, non-government organizations and the media were also recognized during the said event.
The celebration was attended by special guests Director Gen. Edgardo Acuña, chief Directorial Staff of PNP National Headquarters and PNP Region 7 director, Chief Supt. Lani-o Nerez.
