PRO7 BISDAK COPS DONATE BLOOD DURING BLOODLETTING ACTIVITY
The Police Regional Office 7 under the able leadership of Police Brigadier General Roderick Augustus B Alba, Regional Director, joined the bloodletting activity initiated by the Rotary Club of Cebu on Sunday morning, October 23, at
Robinson's Galleria, North Reclamation Road, Cebu City.
At least 130 police officers actively participated in the blood-letting activity to help an organization and provide aid to the needy.
This undertaking aims to channel support and to save lives particularly emphasizing PNP's core value, "MAKATAO". It also inculcates public awareness that a blood donation is a humanitarian act.
The activity started with a prayer led by a Rotarian member, Ms. Gumamela Fernandez followed by the National Anthem.
A welcome message was delivered by Atty. Bernardino Amigo IV, Rotarian member.
In his message, Police Brigadier General Alba shared his personal experiences while in the Rotary Club and how the organization nurtured and empowered him in giving true service to the people.
He also introduced his strategic framework, the 4Cs-Connectivity, Critical Thinking, Capability Enhancement, and Cleansing as his compass in leading the police force of Central Visayas in pursuit of its goal with a high level of commitment to all facets of police work and making the community a better place to live and do business.
"We must strive to inspire others and join us in our quest for peace, good health, food security, and education. Tulong-tulong tayo sa lahat ng gagawin natin ika nga ng ating Chief, PNP. Continue to be a blessing to others, donate blood and save lives," he said.
Also, in attendance are Police Colonel Antonietto Cañete, Chief, RCADD, Police Lieutenant Colonel Ma Aurora Rayos, Chief, PIO, Mr. Pouly Jong, President, Rotary Club of Cebu, Dr. Ester Concha of Red, Cross, and other volunteers from the different sectors, the Philippine Navy, Tau Gamma Fraternity and University of Cebu ROTC students.
