A suspect in the gruesome massacre of 10 persons during a bank robbery in Sta. Rosa, Laguna is now in police custody.
Jake Javier, 23, of Tanauan City, Batangas was turned over today to the custody of the
Philippine National Police by Chairperson Leila De Lima of the Commission on Human Rights.
Javier is the subject of a Warrant of Arrest issued by the Honorable Marino Rubio, presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 24 of Biñan, Laguna for alleged involvement in the bloody heist of the RCBC Branch in Sta. Rosa, Laguna on May 16, this year.
Javier will be brought before the court, as a procedural action, where he is charged for the crime of Robbery with Homicide. State Prosecutors have recommended No Bail for Javier's temporary liberty.
Through his counsel, Atty Efimaco Magpantay, Javier is set to file a motion requesting the court for transfer of detention to the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame. - PNA
