LEGAZPI CITY --- The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents collared on Saturday another big-time drug pusher while peddling 80 grams of shabu (crystal meth) worth PHP500,000 in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay (village) San Roque, here, a ranking PDEA official said Sunday.
Efren Manansala alias Mangga, a resident of the said village who is considered a high-value target (HVT), was nabbed in a buy-bust operation by joint elements of PDEA-PNP, according to Christian Frivaldo, PDEA regional director.
The suspect did not resist when arrested by the PDEA operatives led by Enrique Lucero, PDEA Albay chief, at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Purok 1, Barangay San Roque, a coastal village here.
Frivaldo said the suspect identity is included in the drug watch list and was a subject of surveillance by the agency.
According to Frivaldo, Manansala reportedly gets his drug supply from Ismael Onsad alias Opaw and Angelo Ariraya who were earlier arrested with more than a kilo of shabu worth PHP7.7 million last December 2 this year in Barangay Oro Site here. (PNA)
