Negros Oriental Vice Governor Jose Baldado has been leading in surveys conducted by local media outlets in Dumaguete City in the last six months. He, however, expressed apprehension that the results can be manipulated, rigged or even abused.
Baldado appealed to concerned media outlets to minimize the holding of such surveys, or else make them in such a way that they are truly reflective of the will of the people.
He said surveys can be disadvantageous to politicians who don’t have the financial resources and organizations. He said he does not have multi-cabs, rice, or medicines to hand out to the constituents.
Baldado is contesting the gubernatorial seat in the May polls against incumbent Governor Emilio Macias II with Dumaguete Mayor Agustin Perdices as his running mate. (PNA)
