Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested early this month an Australian man and recovered 14 girls after raiding an apartment, which was suspected as a sex den maintained by the foreigner, officials said on Sunday.
NBI Director Nonnatus Caesar Rojas said Drew Shobbrook alias Dean Fred Hoban was nabbed at his home on April 17 at Labangon District where she kept the girls, who were made to pose nude and engage in sex that the Austrialian posted in the Internet.
“Charges of anti-human trafficking and anti-child pornography have been filed against the suspect in Cebu,†Rojas said.
The Australian offered the girls free food and lodging and an undetermined amount of allowances. He has two women recruiters that supply the girls, Rojas said.
The agents recovered Shobbrook’s laptop, which showed nude photographs of the victims, he said. --
