A three-day regional roadshow seeking to craft the Medium Term Philippine Development Plan (MTPDP) for 2011-2016 was held in the Ilocos Region from January 4 to 6.
Spearheaded by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), the roadshow gathered the commitments/inputs from different government agencies, educational and private sectors and non-government organizations at the regional level nationwide for incorporation into the MTPDP.
The roadshow was nationwide simultaneous activity to ensure that NEDA would meet the targeted production of the final copy of the MTPDP 2011-2016 by next month.
“The plan, after undergoing a series of regional and national consultations, is set to be handed to President Benigno S. Aquino III on February 14 as a love offering of commitment of various stakeholders of the society to his noble vision of good governance, transparency and true service to the people,†NEDA Deputy Director General Margarita R. Songco said.
Songco spoke during the regional consultation with regional directors of various government agencies and heads of different private and non government organizations held at Hotel Ariana, Bauang, La Union here. - pna
