BACOOR CITY, Cavite -- A construction worker was electrocuted while his companion was hurt after a steel gutter they were carrying at the rooftop of a commercial building being built at Kilometer 17, Aguinaldo Highway corner Coastal Green Street, Barangay Panapaan 1, this city hit a high tension electrical wire Saturday morning.

Investigators identified the fatality as Jimmy Dellosa, 50; and the injured as Samuel Velchez Dellosa, 38; both from Barangay 185, Caloocan City.

Police said the two workers accidentally hit the high tension wire above the building’s rooftop of the proposed commercial establishment owned by the Monarch Group Marketing Inc.

This caused the elder Dellosa to fall from the rooftop while Samuel lost consciousness.  It was not immediately known if the victims are related.

They were rushed to St. Dominic Medical Center for medical treatment, but Jimmy was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician Dr. Joan Dondonilla while Samuel, who suffered burn injuries, was transferred to the Philippine General Hospital for further medical treatment.
