KIDAPAWAN CITY – Mayor-elect Joseph Evangelista and vice mayor-elect Jivy Roe Bombeo took their oath of office on Friday.
Evangelista and Bombeo, as well as 10 councilors-elect, took their oath before Regional Trial Court Judge Arvin Sadiri Balagot at the Kidapawan City gymnasium.
Elected as councilors, according to the number of votes they hve obtained, were Melvin Lamata Jr., Marites Malaluan, Gregorio Lonzaga, Ruby Padilla-Sison, Carlo Agamon, Airene Claire Pagal, Aljo Cris Dizon, Lauro Taynan Jr., Narry Amador, and Peter Salac.
Evangelista’s better half, Marylene, and their children Dr. Jose Martin Evangelista, lawyer Jose Paolo Evangelista, and daughter-in-law lawyer Angeli Ness Casador, were around to witness the mayor’s oath-taking for a renewed mandate.
“Election is over. Now is the time to fulfill what we have promised to our people during the campaign period,” Evangelista said.
He vowed to do “finishing touches” on all development projects implemented in 2013 when he was first elected as city chief executive. (PNA
