Kawit Cavite Massacre
« on: February 10, 2011, 01:41:18 PM »
Senior Supt. Edwin Nemenzo, director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) of the Philippine National Police-Calabarzon region, announced on Thursday the solution of the massacre of three persons in Kawit, Cavite last week.

In a report to Chief Supt. Leon Nilo dela Cruz, CIDG director in Camp Crame, Nemenzo said the Cavite massacre was considered solved after the two key suspects were arrested and two of their cohorts gave themselves up voluntarily to the police.

Nemenzo told Dela Cruz that his men, led by Chief Insp. Reynaldo Magdaluyo, arrested Ricardo Chavez, the alleged mastermind, and his suspected accomplice, Rodel Villasquez, in Barangay Zapote, Bacoor, Cavite.

Chavez was tagged as the brains in the killing of his cousin, Cristy Chavez Saromo, 36, her fiancé Edgar Zerida, and niece Dennis Chavez, Nemenzo said.

Police said the victims had multiple stab wounds in their bodies and their heads were wrapped with tapes when discovered at their residence in Barangay Binakayan, Kawit, Cavite last February 2.

Nemenzo said Chavez’s father had disclosed to probers the safe house of his son, resulting to his arrest and that of Villasquiz. Two other suspects, Annibal Hernandez and Raffy Ampisao, later gave themselves up to the police.

The CIDG IV-A director said the four suspects admitted participation in the crime and were charged with robbery with multiple murders.

Nemenzo said investigations disclosed that Chavez was allegedly borrowing P20,000 cash from cousin Cristy but she refused. On the other hand, Zerida, Cristy’s fiancé, scolded Chavez, prompting the suspects to kill them.

The CIDG official said the suspects were drunk and high on illegal drugs when they committed the crime. (PNA)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
