The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) here has launched “Oplan Preparation†for the Christmas season and next year’s Dinagyang Festival.
On Monday, Chief Supt. Cipriano Querol, regional director of PRO-6, based in Camp Martin Delgado, called for a conference of all the chiefs of police in this city.
Querol ordered each commander to identify crime-prone areas under their jurisdiction as part of their security plan.
The regional director also emphasized the importance of police visibility to deter possible crimes especially in places where people converge.
Querol said police should focus on malls, churches, terminals, ports and tourist destinations to see to it that security personnel are in place during these two major activities.
He also instructed the commanders to review their security plan and strengthen their patrol. “Commanders should make sure the good development of moving patrols, checkpoints and security.†- PNA
