A man was stoned to death by his friend Monday dawn for becoming unruly while having a drinking session in Barangay Baliang, Danao City, Cebu

Reneboy Dawe, 39, died because of severe head injury when his friend Richard Capungan pelted him with stones.

Capungan, 34, and the victim were having a drinking session while attending a benefit dance. Dawe reportedly went on berserk, pulling out a 6-inches knife and tried to stab the suspect.

Capungan escaped from the attack and pelted Dawe with a big stone on the head causing the latter to fall. While the victim lays unconscious on the ground, Capungan took another stone and pounded Dawe's head.

SPO4 Jose Salingua Jr. of Danao City Police Station said that the victim was harboring personal grudge against the suspect. It was allegedly triggered because of drunkenness.

"Mao na kung maka-inom maka-estorya na og bati," Salingua said.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. - John 3:16-18
