50 residential houses damaged by Typhoon Rolly in Catarman town
CATARMAN, Northern Samar - Fifty residential houses were damaged when strong
winds brought about by Super Typhoon Rolly hit the coastal barangay of Baybay in Catarman early this morning.
Northern Samar Governor Edwin C. Ongchuan told Northern Samar Bulletin in text messages that no was one injured as the affected residents immediately fled from their houses.
Ongchuan said the damaged residential houses, some made of light materials, were built within the no build zone of the barangay.
They are now temporary staying at a government facility in the barangay.
The Local Government of Catarman is now preparing relief goods for the use of the affected residents.
