Meanwhile, Cebu's ultimate lifestyle destination - The Northwing of SM City Cebu - grandly opened last October 10. Highlighting the occasion was the 'Gear and Glam', an exhibit and fashion show event featuring the rare classic car collections of the Performance and Classic Car Enthusiasts of Cebu (Pace) and elegant fashion designs inspired by the classic cars and presented by the Fashion Council of Cebu (FCC).

The grand opening showcased the finest collections of Metro Cebu's classic car enthusiasts composed of the city's top business personalities, namely: Bobby Aboitiz, Glenn Soco, Kenneth Cobonpue, Grand Benedicto, Darren Deen, Chris Tio, and Jay Aldeguer. Cars displayed at the Atrium of The Northwing are popularly associated in movies like Top Gun, Austin Powers, Con Air, and the International Man of Mystery. They were Corvette Roadster, 1952 Triumph TR2, 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder, 1966 Pontiac GTO, 1961 Jaguar E-type Roadster, 1965 Kougar Jaguar, 1978 Porsche 911 SC, 1959 Porsche 356A, 1965 Corvette Stingray.

The FCC also flaunted their original creations with elegant style inspired by these classic cars. FCC is composed of Cebu's top designers like Albert Arriba, Jun Escario, Arcy Gayatin, Oh Hofer, Ditas Rodriguez, Philip Rodriguez, Vania Romoff, Cary Santiago, Felix Yu and Minnie Yuvienco. Their original creations were elegantly modeled by the members of the Models Association of Cebu (MAC).
